“ Place was really nice and clean. Bakery items looked so delicious. They tasted even better. Service was fast and girls behind the counter were really nice and attentive. ”
“ This wonderful little slice of heaven was only an eight minute walk from our Hampton Inn. We lucked out being here during the week and it wasn't too crowded. On our first visit, we stood in a short line and ordered a couple of pastries and a mocha. We ordered the blueberry cream cheese pastry, and the monkey bread. As we were making our way to an open table, one of the team members named Rick, stopped us and asked if the cashier had offered to warm up our pastries. We said no. He said well you gotta have them warmed up as they taste truly amazing! He took our tray and brought it back to us a few minutes later. We had a nice little chat with him, and thanked him for his above and beyond hospitality. The treats we ordered were truly excellent! As we were leaving the restaurant, we noticed some people had avocado toast that looked quite good. On our walk back from the Alamo, we stopped in again to get avocado toast, and the bear claw. Both were very delicious! They have several locations. We lucked out and drove right by one on our way out of town heading towards Austin. We stopped in again to get another mocha, bear, claw, and the tequila almond croissant. Lucky us! ”
“ Saw it on DDD which is usually turn off for me but it truly lived up to the hype. Had the tequila and almond croissant French toast with eggs & bacon along with coffee and was definitely happy with my choice. Got a few baked items to go for coworkers and everyone was delighted to partake. Great bakery atmosphere and a clear passion for service . Will be back for the bread as well. ”
“ This place gets PACKED! Make sure you get in early if you are goi g for breakfast otherwise you will wait in line out the door the length of the bakery. By 9:30, expect a 20-30 minute wait. We came for breakfast one day and lunch another day. I tried to order a tequila almond croissant in advance on my last day in town but it was going to be an hour before the online order was ready and while they had a kiosk set up out front to sell pastries without waiting in the line, they only had a limited selection out front. No tequila almond croissant and no chocolate croissants. The 2 items that I really wanted. For breakfast, I was able to order a la cart scrambled eggs, bacon and toast. It was good but the eggs were fairly greasy. I chose the pastry with chocolate and white chocolate drizzle stripes and caramel filling. It was ok but I wish I had ordered the chocolate croissant instead. My husband had the Mexican cubano sandwich and should have chosen differently because it was high fat with the 3 kinds of meats and croissant. His coffee tasted watered down. I decided to pass on my typical chai latte because it is premade Tazo mix. The lunch visit had us splitting the chicken club sandwich with the side salad, the tequila almond croissant and a guava empanada. The sandwich and the tequila almond croissant were the winners of everything we tried. We noticed that the fruit empanadas and the blueberry bear claw did not have much filling in them. Are they cutting costs by skimping on the filling? The employees all seemed friendly. ”
“ Great place to go check out. I just wanted to add pictures so there isn't anything to review as I wrote mine earlier. ”
“ I go everyday when I'm in town. This is a special place. The pastries are delicious and coffee is great. I tend to order ahead of time to avoid lines. They have a great soda machine with unusual options. I wish they had more savory options. ”
“ They have lots of sweet bread options and according to them, their bakes are influenced by Mexican, French, Italian, and American styles, which was cool. I tried their filled red velvet concha and it was also my first time trying concha. Its similar to the idea of a paparoti / roti boy if you are from SE Asia. Sweet crusty top and lighter bread on the inside - I didnt like the filling it tasted a bit artificial chocolate. 7/10 The almond croissant was very greasy and also too big for my preference. I'm looking for something more delicate and manageable to eat by one 6.5/10 Blueberry pastry was fine, I'm surprised to see the cream cheese layer beneath 7/10 These breads in general are a bit too sweet and oily for my taste. Service was quick and ample of seating. ”
“ This is a great variety of fresh baked goods need to order breakfast coffees, juices, wines, and champagne. You enter through a single file line and they take your order at the counter. It moves quickly, so don't be intimidated by a long line outside. The food is very fresh and is really tasty. Don't let your eyes get bigger than your stomach. ”
“ I tried Panaderia for the very first time when my friends from Los Angeles were visiting during MLK Jr weekend, and were staying in downtown :) ! I could only meet with them briefly. So I couldn't really sit down for too long to truly try their main signature breakfast dishes. Because I was on a time crunch, I ordered 2 pastries and a latte. My friends were delighted with this breakfast/brunch choice since it was a hop-and-a-skip away from their hotel, and the food and coffee selections were delicious :) ! For the most part, you stand in line and choose either items from the menu, or from behind the display case. The clerks provide with a number for your order that you can take to your table. All tables and seating are first-come, first-serve. If you ordered any drinks or coffees, or breakfast dishes off the menu, the servers will bring these to you :) ! The ambiance is very comfortable and casual, and perfect for great conversation :) ! But it can also get noisy! Haha :D ! It was already pretty busy and crowded on the Friday morning before the holiday weekend. So I'm glad that my friends decided to meet right before the holiday weekend, and not during the actual weekend. I would imagine that the lines would be much longer, and the crowds would be more, on the actual weekends. The next time i come, I hope to be able to truly sit down and enjoy :) ! I really enjoyed seeing and catching up with my friends who were visiting from out of town :) ! But I just wish I could have had more time to truly embrace the experience in a non-hurried fashion. Parking for me in downtown was a little bit of a challenge. Since I wasn't going to be in downtown for too long, I decided to do the 2-hour max street parking for less than $5 total, close by Embassy Suites and walk over to Panaderia, since this was cheaper and more reasonable than parking in the parking lots for $20 and up. ”
